Trail is in great condition with patchy mushy snow starting a short distance below Horse Camp. Soft snow gradually deepened to around 6 to 8 inches with a clear beaten track that was easy to follow. We used micro-spikes to help with traction, but could have managed without them because there was no ice, just mush.
Excellent day with a strong group of climbers! The predicted rain never materialized, but a low cloud cover obscured views. Temps warmed into the high 40's and we were met with some snow bombs on our descent. A few other parties of mostly two, but otherwise we had the trail to ourselves
Started at 8:30, summited in 2 hrs/55 minutes, well within my estimated time. Back at the cars by 2:00. Enjoyable trip with occasional short breaks and leisurely lunch on top.
