The trail from the lower trail head to the upper junction is in good condition. We hiked in clouds and dampness the entire way, but most of it was from trip drips in the forest. Once out of the woods, hardly any wind, although chilly. Windy at the summit. Nice close-up views of clouds.
Lots of improvement on the upper trail, thanks to the Mt. Rose Trail Crew volunteers for the Olympic National Forest.
Beautiful mossy forest with vibrant green shades highlighted by wetness. Careful footing needed on wet rocks/roots. First time up there for two of the participants! Overall, a good day on Ellinor!
