The trail 1000 from the Pack Forest parking to the Little Mashel Falls was easy to find and follow. The trail to the lower falls has mudslide damage and is closed, but we were able to hike to upper and middle falls. Trail conditions around the falls were muddy and slippery, put passable.
We had a great morning hike with the Tacoma CHS students. There was plenty of parking at the upper Pack Forest parking lot at 9 a.m. (on a Friday). The Trail 1000 is an old road and very easy to hike on. The spur trail to Little Mashel Falls was in pretty good condition, but the trails to upper and middle falls were muddy (to be expected, given recent weather). Trekking poles were helpful. The weather was good for most of the day. We had a little hail/graupel on the hike out.
