Day Hike - Licorice Fern Trail

A fun hike in the woods to condition for summer hiking. We saw deer and had dinner at a viewpoint.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • The trail has had some improvements done. There are new steps on the steep parts. 

This was a very pleasant evening for a hike. There isn't a lot of parking, but it isn't a heavily used trail. The were two trailrunners and two pairs of dog walkers. Unfortunately the dog walkers left their poop bags behind. The bags were still on the trail on the way and one of our hikers kindly picked them up.

We hiked as far as Far Country Falls and saw two deer at the road crossing. We had a nice spot for our dinner break.
