Day Hike - Lake Serene

It was a beautiful and sunny day. Temperatures were in the 80s. When we arrived at the lake, there was only one or two other hikers present on the lunch rock. Everyone seemed to enjoy the hike.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • There was no snow on the trail at all except for very last section of highest elevation right before we turned off for lunch rock. Even there, the snow didn't present any issues. No micro-spikes required.

Would recommend usage of poles as trail is very rocky.  Trail is well maintained.

It was an enjoyable hike with many strong and experienced hikers, with whom I would enjoy hiking with again many times.

Marilyn was very helpful taking up the rear guard.

A great induction for me to be a hike leader.
