Day Hike - Green Lake (Mount Rainier)

Successful hike to Ranger Falls and Green Lake, Mt. Rainier National Park. This hike was offered through Tacoma's Conditioning Hiking Series class.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • The trail was in good condition. It was snow-free, and there were very few bugs.

We left the trailhead at the Carbon River entrance at 8:15 a.m. and returned to the cars by 2 p.m. It was a hot day, so we were glad to be able to go a good pace on the Carbon River road trail for the first and last three miles.  Everyone did well in the warm weather and stayed hydrated. Ranger Falls was a highlight!
