Day Hike - Golden Garden Stairways

Our 6 to 8:30 pm dusky hike from ~6400 Seaview Dr took us over then under BN tracks for a stroll up through Loyal Heights, a few days after the height of the tree flowering.  A dozen street walkers, crossers is about the limit for safe travel as night approaches.  We light up an hour or so before sunset with headlamps and hand-held torches. What a treat, the north end of Golden Gardens with beavers beneath our feet and a heron in the trees.  And the view changes with tide and weather. This hike doubles the feet gained but the long approach through Loyal Heights maintains a conversational pace.
