Day Hike - Duckabush River

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • Road is paved much of the way but the final 3-5 miles are gravel and pretty heavily pothole'd.  The road, however, is passible by all vehicles.  

We started from the trailhead at 8:30am. The weather cooperated and we had sunshine and mixed clouds all day.  

The trail is in great shape other than a small rock slide west of "big hump" that is easy to pick through.  I suspect that trail maintenance will fix this later this spring/early summer.

Views were mainly territorial or just trees.  There were several places to get down to the river and get some descent river views as well however.  Overall a very nice old growth forest for most of this hike.

We went about 10.5 miles but you can go much further if a longer day hike is desired.  Round trip time was about  6 hours including stops and lunch break.
