Day Hike - Duckabush River

Trail in good condition, brushy in spots. Take lots of water or a filter. No problems at parking lot, lots of cars. Saw a fair amount of backpackers.

  • Road rough but passable

  • Most of the road is good. Some potholes in spots. Trail is good, no trees over it but brushy in spots. 

Good hike with lots of shade on a warm day. Saw a few backpack groups, 1 trail runner. Dog friendly. 

This trail has a lot to offer, warms you up going over little hump, good vally walk with a water view snack spot, 20 switchbacks up to big hump with great views, up and over Big hump to 5 mile camp with again a nice lunch spot on the river. Berries and few flowers along the way. The hills tell stories of old fires and wind events with up rooted trees and blow downs.
