Day Hike - Dickerman Mountain

Successful summit to Mt. Dickerman. Bear sighting just off trail. 2 participants stung by hornets; benadryl and pain reliever given.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • NO hazards.  Beautiful fall weather.

Many people added and dropped right up until the morning of the hike. 8 of us met at Verlot Ranger Station.  Plenty of blueberries remained trailside and bear sighting among them.  Fall colors were spectacular.  The weather was perfect for a 360 degree view of the Glacier Wilderness.  Our time on the trail with lunch was approximately 6 hours.
