Day Hike - Big Creek
Trail is 98% snow free, lots of small branches and a few small trees over trail. Creek was raging. We were lucky and no rain or wind that was predicted. Few people on the trail. Great nearby hike, dog friendly, easily accessible.

lots of debris on trail and few small trees you can walk over. Some wet and muddy spots but mostly good trail, as usual. Minor snow on way to viewpoint, no micospikes needed. I recommend layers this time of year. Gate to campground and bathrooms closed. Ranger station in Hoodsport said Staircase is a no go due to road. She thought it would be graded in May.
