Day Hike - Ancient Lake

Nice day. Trail in good condition. Some wildflowers, 3 waterfalls still flowing. We first hiked to Dusty Lake, then back and around to the Ancient Lakes. About 6 miles

  • There are two separate trailheads, one more on western side of Lakes, mostly downhill going in,  and a much larger one on Eastern approach, nearer to Quincy, with some ups and downs but not much elevation gain.  Be sure the Trailhead you plan to use is clear.

    The trail is dusty, otherwise fine.  There are several alternate trails, best to.have a leader who knows route. 

With either trailhead, there is about 4 miles of gravel road to trailhead....in good condition.
