Cowlitz Gap & Rocks (winter)

Trip date 4/24/2016 Winter found us! We had windy and whiteout conditions the whole way. So we all got to practice our navigation skills using the GPS, maps and compass. Put on the snowshoes about halfway up. One person had enough and stop part way up the ridge to the summit, the rest of the group took a shot at summit, ran into hard packed snow and icy/wet rock about 100 vertical feet below the summit. At this point we turned around.
