Coleman Pinnacle

Having been in the area two weekends ago it looked like some good snow. So we headed up from Artist Point parking area leaving 8:30 or so. Most of the trail is snow free until you go over the ridge, and then it's a mix of snow and rock to the ridge below the Pinnacle. We scrambled to the top, a very nice scramble, enjoyed views and sun for a half hour and then came down. put on our skis and snowboard to do two runs on the north side of the Pinnacle, maybe 1,600 feet. We then traversed around the ridge to pick up the trail back to Table Mountain and out to Artist Point arriving at about 3:15 or so. Round trip felt closer to 7 miles and the scramble to the top had exposure, but we rated it more a 3 than 4. Great day!
