Chair Peak/Northeast Buttress (winter)

Another turn-around. Made it almost to the base. Started 5:15am (daylight savings time) and reached small rock formation belay route around 7:45am. We snowshoed up a the bed surface of an avalanche that had released on the left side of the mountain inline with the descent route. However, as we stepped out of the bed and onto the slab a crack started to propagate. We retreated quickly and decided to turn around. A trio of climbers had made it across the same slab about an hour earlier.
