Burroughs Mountain

Moderate place hike from Sunrise TH to Third Burroughs, ascending via Frozen Lake and returning via Sunrise Camp. Roads, trails, and all relevant facilities were in good condition - no issues. Our plan had been to linger on the summit for 60 - 90 minutes to enjoy the views and take pictures, but after about 30 minutes we noticed some weather coming in and decided to head for lower ground so as to not be exposed in case of lightning. The skies darkened and brought cooler temperatures and some thunder but no rain or lightning, and so served only to make our hike out cooler and more pleasant.

The only item of note for this trip is the high number of no-shows and last-minute cancellations. Of six registered participants only two showed up: two cancelled the night before, one cancelled the morning of, and one was a no-show.
