Burroughs Mountain

The road to White River TH was open, but not up to Sunrise. With that combination, this was a terrific 3-3 scramble. We went up the Wonderland Trail until we hit timberline and reached the snow, then west and then went up the ESE ridge of Burroughs 1. From there we followed the route of the snow covered trail to Burroughs 2 and then down the trail that comes out near Glacier Basin.

FYI: Another great route is to start by hiking to near Glacier Basin, the follow the trail up to timberline and then make a clockwise loop taking in point 7135, point 7640+ and Burroughs 3 (7828')
