Basic Snowshoe - Commonwealth Basin

There were alot of tree well holes, Also a fair share of creek crossings with little snow over them. If you plan on a trip here, keep an eye out. There where alot of trail / tracks, some led us to where we wanted to go, some didn't. We broke trail a few times to get back on track. The snow was firm in some spots, but mostly powdery. A few slips and falls, but all in all, a great day. Fog had us socked in for the trip. We left the parking lot at 9 am. Lunch at noon at lunch counter. Haiku throw down, with lots of great Haikus about cookies, commonwealth basin, and snow. Back down the trail (s) 12:30. There were areas we could even plunge step!!  Made it back to the parking lot by 2pm. Great time was had by all.
