Basic Rock Climb - The Tooth/South Face

Parked at Snow Creek TH as upper gate was closed.  Approached via the Winter route which was generally in good condition.  There was snow almost to the top of Pineapple Pass but a pretty good moat had formed which made the transition a bit dicey.  We rigged up a belay to help climbers across.  Climbing route was snow free.  We completed two pitches but made the correct decision to retreat with dark clouds looming and possible thunderstorms. Returned to the cars via the Snow Lake Trail.  Overall, this was a good climb which provided opportunities to use both snow and rock skills.
