Snow finger to pass is in good shape. Relatively easy step down of about 4 feet.
We started on June 21 at 6 am at the trailhead, with a forecast of 20% chance of showers changing to partly sunny later in the day. We decided to give it a go, hoping the rain would stop early enough for us to climb in dry conditions. Alas, it was still raining when we arrived at the pass, so we reluctantly turned around. The summer route is required since the snow is now gone from the winter route. The snow finger is in good shape, with a relatively easy step down about 6' before the end (don't try to walk it all the way out). Patchy snow up to the lip of the valley, then lovely snow conditions from there to the pass. Despite turning around, we all had fun and got some good snow travel practice in.
