Alpine Scramble - Tomyhoi Peak/Southeast Route

The glacier portion was covered with compact snow, which in the sun was soft enough that neither Microspikes nor crampons were needed, although those in the group who put on their crampons were glad they did. The moat between the glacier and the rock was deep and undercut and we could not find a safe way to cross it. Despite having to turn around so close to the summit, everyone had a great time and loved this trip. The hiking is outrageously gorgeous.
