On Saturday 8th August, Sean Mathias , Justin W Munn and Jon Larson tagged along with me to do Marcus peak, Palisades peak, Brown peak and South slide mountain on a 4 peak scramble loop in Rainier national park
Marcus peak has some beautiful rock scrambling along the ridge if you take the ridge option
Palisades peak is mostly a bush whack or tree run upto the summit
We took the backside of palisades to connect back to upper palisades lake, which has some yummy scree and dropping down via bush-whack to some beautiful meadows
Brown peak is 17 trees with no views (why is it on Rainier 100 no one knows)
South slide mountain is via a beautiful ridge run with awesome views of the meadows on the ridge and lake to the left
Overall 7 hr 40 minutes and infinite wild flowers
The interesting thing of this trip is all the ups and down of elevation profile
Makes it 40,41,42&43 of my Rainier 100 peaks!
