Beautiful/strenuous fall traverse of ~15 miles/~5000' on a lull between storms to Hurricane Hill. After staging a car at the Madison Falls parking area (the Elwha road was closed to vehicles) we ascended the lush Little River trail for ~8 miles to reach Hurricane Hill. We completed the traverse by descending the ~6 mile 'Elwha to Hurricane Hill' trail (sweeping views to the west) and finished with a ~2 mile road walk back to Madison Falls. Sun breaks throughout the day with a total trip time of 8.5 hours. Photos from this and past trips can be seen here.
