Alpine Scramble - Chikamin Peak

2-day scramble of Chickamin Peak

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • Poles are nice for the 2 stream crossings near Mineral Creek TH

    1 short section of overgrown jungle-like trail, but the rest is clear.

    Existing campsites near Glacier Lake are pretty spartan. Be prepare to camp on dirt or bare rock.

    Lovely lovely views from summit of Chickamin. This is a premier scramble destination.

Party size: 5

Day 1:

7:30 AM start hiking from Mineral Creek TH

Noon - arrive at outlet of Glacier Lake, camped on bare dirt or rock just downstream of outlet

1:10 PM - 3:30 PM scramble to summit of Chickamin

3:30 PM - 4:15 PM enjoy summit views from summit of Chickamin

6 PM back at camp

Day 2:

8 AM - Noon hike Glacier Lake to TH
