West Tiger Mountain No. 1

Hike up to West Tiger 1. It's 7 miles and 2,500 feet of elevation gain in a popular forest in the I-90 corridor.

getting there

Just east of Issaquah take I-90, Exit 20, then turn south and then take an immediate left onto SE 79th Street and head west parallel to I-90 to the trailhead at High Point Pond.

on the trail

Hike 0.7 miles on the High Point Trail and turn left on Dwight's Way for 0.5 miles.  Turn right onto the West Tiger No. 1 Trail and follow it to the summit.  If you want some variety you can make a number of loop variations that include the Lower, Middle and Upper Bootleg trails, and the Tiger Mountain Trail.
