Mount Townsend

A moderate, 8.2 mile in-and-out hike with 2,900 ft in elevation gain. The trail cuts through forests and hillside meadows to the peak where you can see the islands of Puget Sound as well as the Seattle skyline.

From the trailhead at the end of Forest Road 27-190, hike the Mount Townsend Trail (No. 839) to the junction with the Silver Lake Trail (5,500 ft). Turn right (north) and continue to the summit of Mount Townsend.
