We will meet at the Scatter creek TH at 8.00AM
This trip will go only if there is no rain on the day of the trip (snow is fine).
We will have to cross a ford along the scatter creek - so please bring gaiters and water proof your boots (bring extra socks)
With early winter trips - There will be a need for technical climbing in crampons, snowshoes and ice axe. But will be a good first trip for first year scramble students to use all the new tools they've learnt.
If the roster is full, we can skip snowshoes in support of breaking trail (again dependent on snow depth and levels)
In winter trips, conditioning is not optional , we will move at a gentle yet consistent pace of 1200-1500 feet and 2-2.5mph on trail (aka mount Si in under 2 hours). If you are slower or out of shape, please reach out to me, before signing up
