Strenuous & beautiful winter scramble of ~9 miles and ~5000'. Route begins at the Lake Crescent shoreline and finishes with pristine views of North Fork Soleduc valley and Mount Olympus beckoning beyond.

Various P&Rs to accommodate attendees, an early ferry, then 8:30am at the Storm King Ranger Station before caravaning a short distance to the unmarked Aurora Ridge trailhead (has room for 2-3 cars).
Strenuous & beautiful winter scramble of ~9 miles and ~5000'. Route begins at the Lake Crescent shoreline (trailhead is unmarked pullout 2.6 miles west of turn off into the Storm King Ranger Station off of highway 101) and finishes with pristine views of North Fork Soleduc valley and Mount Olympus beckoning beyond. Photos from past trips can be seen here. Owing to our late return home attendees should plan on having dinner in Port Angeles.
