Whitewater Packraft - North Fork Nooksack River

We will relocate to another class III river in the area if flows are not sufficient. All class III rapids in the canyon can be portaged on river left. Leader permission required if you have not paddled a class III river with me before.

9am at Maple Fuels in town of Maple Falls.

As of June 19, 4 days in advance of the trip, the SF Stillaguamish is at 4.7ft, far below the recommended level of 5.5.  Nisqually is at 860 CFS and below the minimum recommended level of 900.  NF Nooksack is at 900 CFS and is well within the recommended range of 600-2,000 CFS.  Skagit S-Bends is another option that is at 3,800 CFS and well within the recommended range of 1,500-6,000.  Both of these glacial rivers are on the rise due to high temps melting the glaciers.
