Priority will be given to Seattle Sea Kayaking basic course students and those seeking equivalency. After students are accommodated, all qualified sea kayakers are welcome to register. Assistant leaders and instructors from all branches are welcome to register.
For those who need to rent gear, including a dry suit, kayak, paddle, bilge pump, spray skirt and paddle float, reserve your gear as soon as you can through Olympic Outdoor Center Rentals:

Please reserve equipment as soon as possible to ensure the best selection of sizes.
Bring sufficient insulating clothing to be worn under the drysuit, as discussed in the prior class.
Bring water, lunch and a snack as desired. Food will not be available to purchase at our lunch stop. Warm beverages and soup may be desired if the weather is cool.

Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
