We’ll be launching early taking advantage of current paddling CW through Portage Channel Woohe, should arrive at Point Marrowstone in time for Ebb before Flood for some fun or just look around & lunch break.

We will need to launch on schedule Or we will miss our ride through Portage Channel. 

proper immersion clothing required.

Bring if you have these:

  • VHF radio
  • tow belt
  • Pack a lunch lots of snacks and hot fluids 
  • you might need wheels in the afternoon or in the morning because we’re leaving on an ebb it can be a long beach at times.

There’s a real bathroom here it doesn’t flush but it’s private and clean. It’s a county park so you don’t need a discovery pass.

Required Equipment

These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips.  All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.

  1. Floatation in both ends of the kayak
  2. U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
  3. Paddle
  4. Spray skirt
  5. Bilge pump with floatation
  6. Self-rescue paddle float
  7. Waterproof whistle
  8. Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
