We will go out in up to these conditions and difficulty

  • Wind: <12kts
  • Waves: <1
  • Route: from the harbor, out the entrance then north to Sunrise beach.
  • Distance:  6nm
  • Pace: Leisurely

Registration preference is given to those who have recently carved a Greenland Paddle or who have one already and it defies them. This day will be something between a trip and a clinic, and just meant to "get you going" with your Greenland paddle, and not intended to be a substitute for the course on June 17-18, and indeed may give you a head start/practice prior to that course.

We'll talk about what to do if it chatters on the forward stroke. I'll show you two forward strokes you can use.  some bracing, a few strokes and rudders. There are some awesome things you can do by extending (slipping) this paddle.

Immersion wear required, otherwise just the 10 essentials.
