Ben Ure Spit (same as Ala Spit) located at the eastern end of Troxell and Geck roads. Show up around 8:30am for launch around 9:15am. Short carry to the water. Discover Pass not required.
Must have experience in eddies, currents, and rock gardenening.
We'll stop and play as opportunity presents. Hoypus Point, Strawberry Island, Canoe Pass, Deception Island where we will rock garden. Aim to be heading back at slack (1210pm) and have lunch at the grassy knoll just past Lighthouse Point. Then a bit of play in the main pass at the Room of Doom. On to Strawberry to see if we can twirl our paddle over our head while balancing on the standing wave.
Helmet, dry suit, and gloves required.
