We will MEET at 8:00 am at Bowman Bay boat launch, just north of Deception Pass. We will LAUNCH at 9:00 am.
Bring Discover Pass.
We will launch from Bowman Bay and explore the coastline to the north of Deception Pass. My goal is to paddle around Allan and Burrows Islands with a stop of Burrows Island State Park for lunch, though we'll have to see how we do with gradually building currents that will be against us on the way there. We'll plan on taking advantage of back eddies to assist our travel and I'm anticipating it won't be a problem, but we'll need to be flexible with our plans.
Participants need to be able to comfortably paddle 12 nm with an average pace of 3 kts. Drysuits required.
