Sea Kayak - Boston Harbor Vicinity
Enjoy an evening paddle from Boston Harbor, on one of the summer long series of Wednesday night paddles sponsored by the Olympia kayak committee structured to accommodate all Mountaineers Sea Kayaking Graduates. No need to sign up, just show up for some fun and socializing. Paddle South Puget Sound from Boston Harbor Marina toward or around Budd Inlet, Eld Inlet, Hope Island, Squaxin Island Passage, Peale Passage, Dana Passage and explore the many inlets and lagoons of the area.

Meet at Boston Harbor Boat ramp ready for a 6 PM launch.
Please arrive allowing enough time to be prepared to be on the water by 6 PM.
You must be competent with assisted and self rescues.
Destination and pace will be adjusted to fit the group and weather conditions at the time of launch.
Restrooms and limited parking are available near the boat ramp.
A Discover Pass allows additional parking options at Boston Harbor.
Required Equipment
These eight essentials plus The Ten Essentials are required on all sea kayaking trips. All but the whistle and clothing should be provided with any kayak rental.
- Floatation in both ends of the kayak
- U.S. Coast Guard approved Personal Flotation Device (PFD)
- Paddle
- Spray skirt
- Bilge pump with floatation
- Self-rescue paddle float
- Waterproof whistle
- Appropriate clothing for the conditions encountered seasonally
