Naturalist Trip - Marymoor Park

Join Mountaineer birding enthusiasts at Marymoor Park, one of the oldest and favorite park of many. We'll have the advantage of the varied ecosystems here that attract a variety of birds. Let's see what we can find!

  • Easy
  • Mileage: 2.5 mi

We'll meet at Parking Lot G at 8:00am.  The Park requires a daily parking fee of  $1.00 per vehicle. The daily fee can be paid at the parking kiosk at the entrance to the parking lot. Each kiosk accepts currency or coins; a few accept credit cards.

There are commercial portable toilets in the parking lot.

We’ll do a SLOW  approximately 3 hour loop walk starting at the fields by the parking lot. We'll stop often to listen for, spot and identify birds in the varied & distinct ecosystems found here. We will search for both resident and fall migrating birds. Depending on the weather or the birds that are about, we may modify the route to maximize our experience.

Bring binoculars and your favorite tools for bird identification like a birding guide book and/or phone app like the free Merlin and eBird apps. Be sure to download the app's bird packs too.
