Naturalist Trip - Harstine Island to McMicken Island
NATURALIST HIKE. Hike an easy 1/2 miles through lush forest down to the rocky Harstine Island beach. At low tide, hike another mile on the beach to the sand spit which will allow us to walk out to McMicken Island at low tide. We will have an amazing -2.75’ tide.

We will have an exceptionally low tide (-2.75’) at 2:55 pm on this trip. This will make for an exciting trip with lots of exploration on the way, from the forest to the low tide exposing living sand dollar beds, moon snails and other low tide treasures. Wear hiking shoes, but also bring sandals or water shoes for the low tide.
Registered participants will receive meeting time and place prior to the hike.
