Rampart Vista is the name given to the high spot just below the south facing cliffs of Rampart Mountain. The route follows logging roads as well as cross country terrain.
This is a "Strenuous" backcountry snowshoe trip. Prerequisite is completion of the Backcountry snowshoeing course, the Alpine Scrambling course, Basic Climbing or Backcountry Skiing course.
See the route/place link below for a detailed route description.
NOTE: We will park at an official sno-park, and thus the car(s) will require sno-park permits. If you have one, this would be a great day for you to drive. If not, they are available for 20 dollars at the North Bend Chevron Station by the Mac Donald’s. Please bring extra cash to share in the cost.
NOTE: In the event of forecasted steady rain below 4000', this trip will likely be changed to an umbrella hike on Tiger Mountain.
