Goals for the trip are as follows:
- Be safe.
- Have fun.
- Make it to the top of Hex Mountain.
- Learn something.
Expectations for participants are as follows:
- Stay with the group.
- Be in good shape. This trip has a lot of elevation gain for a snowshoe. It is all uphill until it's all downhill.
- Have the necessary gear to be safe and comfortable and know how to use it.
- Participate in group discussions and decision-making regarding avalanche awareness, route selection and turn-around time.
- Voice any concerns about trail conditions, terrain choices and avalanche concerns.
- Be open to learning.
Style:
- I love puns and jokes and riddles and words.
- I am easily distracted by nature.
- I like a good workout but I also like to have a good time.
- I sometimes take a bit to respond because I'm mulling over my response. If I don't respond to you right away it's because I'm thinking about your question or comment.
- I'm curious about people, so I may ask you questions about yourself.
- I enjoy telling stories.
- My leadership style is flexible, usually, it's fairly relaxed. I'm also a big believer in servant leadership.
