Day Hike - Woodard Bay
Introductory hike. A close hike, just a few miles north of Olympia. From the trails you'll be able to observe mature second growth trees, wildlife habitat and undistured shoreline. One of the largest heron rookeries in our state is across the Bay. Bring Binoculars.

Discovery Pass required.
Bring binoculars to look across the bay at the Rookery. At least 100 Heron nest in the trees. The Overlook trail to the Rookery is closed mid March and will remain closed until August 15.
Trail can be wet, wear good shoes.
