Gold Creek Basin

Trip

Day Hike - Upper Gold Creek Valley

We will circle Gold Creek Pond and hike 6 miles up the creek and back. There should be plenty of fall colors.

  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 12.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,000 ft
  • Pace: 2 MPH average moving speed

7:30 at the Gold Creek Pond parking area.

I will need someone to pick me up at East Sunset Way trailhead in Issaquah at 6:40, thanks!

You will not need water shoes for the creek crossing, the creek is very low and there are plenty of rocks, my trip report from fall 2020 has a photo of the stream crossing https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/trip-reports/trip_report-2020-09-21-9326637402

We will go up the trail to Alaska Lake for a short distance.
