Day Hike - Thompson Point

Strenuous day hike to a lesser-known peak in the Middle Fork area. Great views of the area if weather allows.

0800 at the Granite Lakes TH on the Middle Fork road. 

My goals for this trip are:

1. Be safe.

2. Make it to the top of Thompson Point

3. Learn something

Expectations for trip participants:

1. Practice Leave No Trace principles.

2. Have the physical conditioning necessary for this trip.  12 miles RT and 4,000' of elevation gain.

3. Have the necessary gear and know how to use it.  No cotton clothing!
