Leader's notes

Snow and Gem Lakes are beautiful, the trailhead is accessed easily from I 90 and thus very popular. I am hoping that by going on a Monday in October we will not have crowds. There has been trail work this summer, but it will still be rocky. Be prepared for a rocky and sometimes steep trail.
