A moderate, 9 mile round trip day hike with 2,500 feet of elevation gain. The trail goes up through forests and alpine meadows to a scenic ridge line.

We'll plan to leave from the parking lot at Sunset Square in Bellingham at 7:00 AM, so please arrive a little before then (6:45) so we can meet everyone organize. We can carpool from there.
Sunset Square is located at 1145 E Sunset Drive, in Bellingham. It's right off I-5, exit 255, for Hwy 542 (Mt. Baker Highway). If you take the exit and go east on Sunset Drive, it will be on your left (north) just east of the freeway.
We'll meet in the northwest corner of the parking lot, in the vicinity of Goodwill and At Home (formerly K-mart).
All cars going to the trailhead will need a current NW Forest Pass.
We'll plan to be back at Sunset Square early in the evening.
