Day Hike - Rampart Ridge Loop

Get outdoors for Juneteenth and enjoy free entry into Mt. Rainier National Park. This scenic loop hike up the Wonderland Trail intersects with an epic view of Rainier and Longmire.

***Co-Leader or Assistant Leader: If you would like to be a co-leader or assistant leader, please contact me ASAP and be willing to both be an additional driver and obtain a reservation for a permit through Recreation.gov any time between now and June 19th, 2024 from 7-9 am. The permit must be in your name. The cost is $2 for the car reservation. The entry fee to the park is free this day only (holiday). We will also open this up to more participants depending on the number of participants you can shuttle.

Carpooling: Be willing to chip in for gas to and from Eatonville. We will meet in Eatonville at 7 am, move gear and carpool to the Nisqually entrance of Mt. Rainier and then to Longmire. ***Driver/leader has a permit to get in and a car reservation and room for 4 additional participants. 

My goal for this hike is to meet new people, have fun and enjoy the outdoors. 

Participants: If this trip is full and you are willing to do one of the following:

a. Get to Longmire prior to 7:00 am to meet us at the trailhead.

or

b. Get a car reservation to enter the park between 7:00-9:00 and be willing to take a few extra folks.
