Meet at the Padilla Bay Preserve South Trailhead at 10:00am
SOUTH TRAILHEAD
13000 BLOCK BAYVIEW-EDISON ROAD, MOUNT VERNON, WA

no parking pass is needed to park here. There is a portapotty.
We will walk down a mostly flat, wide road along the Skagit River Estuary towards Padilla bay, enjoying the flowers and birds along the way and return, for 4.5 mi total.
We will eat lunch and then depart for Mt. Vernon where you can view the Tulips if you like, or just head home.
There are two gardens that you can purchase timed tickets to tour: Tulip Town and RoozenGaarde on-line ticketing now available; answers to frequently asked questions - Tulip Festival
Leader has purchased a ticket for 1:30pm at RoozenGaarde.
Please bring the 10 essentials, dress in layers and plenty of water.
This hike will follow the Mountaineers hiking guidelines for COVID-19 that apply on the date of this trip.
All participants will be required to have a face covering ready to pull up at the trailhead, and will be asked to be familiar with and follow the Mountaineers Covid-19 guidelines for trip.
For the group's safety, every participant is asked to commit to conservative covid behavior prior to the trip
