Day Hike - Mount Zion

Join us for a Friday hike in search of wild rhododendrons in bloom. We will hike up the switch-backs of a steep trail at 1.0 - 1.5 miles an hour under canopies of fir, hemlock and rhododendrons. At the top, we will follow a spur to views of Mt. Townsend and the Olympics.

Participants will be sent an email detailing meeting place and time two days before the hike.  

Be sure to carry clothing for the always changing mountain climate:  layers and rain gear.  

We will stop at the top for lunch at the top to enjoy the views.  

There is a privy at the trailhead.
