This is a conditioner for the Olympia Basic Climbing Course.  To sign up for this trip you must also have your mentor sign up.  If there are still open spots by March 27th this trip will open to anyone with priority given to Olympia Basic Climbing students and Olympia Alpine Scrambling students.

In order to be given credit for the conditioner, you are expected to carry at least 30lbs of weight and make it to the area below Haystack Rock within 2 hours and 40 minutes with moderate effort.

Pace: Moderate

Required Equipment: In addition to 10 Essentials waterproof boots and traction (microspikes or crampons) are required. Boot gaiters and trekking poles recommended

Parking Pass: Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful

Trail Conditions: As of xx/xx/xx the trail is snow covered and muddy. Expect muddy, slippery conditions. Expect moderate creek crossings.

Weather: Expect rain or snow.
