Rose may be short but it's certainly not easy. The first mile or so of trail is reasonable, then the trail goes straight up the mountainside to a small flat area, where the loop begins...and the uphill continues. There is usually some snow starting at this point. The goal is to do the lollipop loop clockwise if possible.
My goals for this trip are:
1. Be safe.
2. Have fun.
3. Complete the lollipop loop.
My expectations for participants are:
1. Have the physical conditioning necessary for this trip. It's 1,000' per mile and there are some short steep sections that may have to be navigated in some snow.
2. Practice the Leave No Trace principles.
3. Be respectful of other participants.
