Meet at the covered area at the lower McLane Nature Trail to begin our trip to visit the gnomes of McLane and collect them along the way in our special Gnome Basket. Group will leave promptly at 1:45 and proceed clockwise around pond.
Kids will bring the gnomes back to our forest tea party, featuring warm Douglas Fir tea huckleberry scones, and toasted pine nuts. Participants are invited to bring a tiny treat to share.
This hike is fun for younger kids. Trail is stroller accessible.
Dress for being outside for 2 hours or more, with gloves, hats, warm parkas, and rain gear. Kids may want to crawl on the ground to visit gnome holes, so be prepared!
